Enemies Shower Mykolaiv in Cluster Bombs and Shell Civilian Objects from Planes

Mykolaiv Oblast continues to withstand heavy blows; the enemy keeps striking the city and its outskirts with long-distance missiles, artillery shells, and mines.

Enemies Shower Mykolaiv in Cluster Bombs and Shell Civilian Objects from Planes

In this direction, Russian invaders are frequently using the banned cluster munitions against both the military and civilians, TSN states.

A “good night” wish is currently perceived by the people of Mykolaiv literally. But the invaders keep making almost each night bad. A shell stroke a few meters clear of a civilian car; there is a hole left in the asphalt. “We saw the flames rising high; I looked out of the window and I guessed it was my car. They stroke a residential block, I don’t understand how they can wage war like that, shelling civilians,” a local resident spoke.

Windowpanes were shattered in many apartments and their shards damaged walls and doors. A fire broke out in one pf the blocks. “This is horror. They captured Kherson and now they’re shelling from there,” people say.

What the launch are cluster munitions. One of them fell near a building and failed to detonate. This type of ordnance is banned, which is the testimony of Russians’ crimes.

There are the effects of another Russians’ attack in a neighboring district. Two enemy aircraft flew over the residential sector in the south of the city and deliberately shot at houses. A mother and a daughter were killed in one of them. Their neighbors said that the aircraft were flying so low that the faces of the killers could be seen.

“There was white smoke and explosions; we hid in a cellar. As soon as we got out, we saw that the roof of the house and a fence had been blown. Two persons killed in broad daylight. They flew very low. It is perfectly clear that we’re civilians,” locals say.

There were civilians living in three-storied buildings nearby. Russian made them unfit for residence with their shelling. Enemy strikes are aimed mostly at the villages to the south of Mykolaiv. Around 80 per cent of their residents have already fled and Russians have turned the nice and neat flowerbeds in their courtyards into artillery targets.

“We’ve got the war zone and a shopping area here. There’s only one food store left out of fifteen, and there’s no easy way to go anywhere; there’s no bus service,” people say.

Some scenes in this picturesque area in the south of Mykolaiv Oblast fascinate and horrify at the same time. The Ruscists shelled a graveyard in one of the villages. A missile stuck in the ground on a hill above the Southern Bug river as an eerie monument to ‘Russian World’ that has failed to arrive on this land and never will.
