Europe will not escape this – it will have to create its own security system, based on its own resources and manufacturers.

This was stated by retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan, on Radio NV.

The "policy of quiet appeasement" conducted for decades by some European politicians and the U.S. has led to Europe being almost 100% dependent on American security systems, ranging from nuclear weapons to air defense. "The Americans hold on to what's theirs. The launchers located on land in Romania and Poland are American security systems, meant to protect the United States. This is U.S. security, not European security in any form," Svitan said.

According to him, Europe needs to build its own security system, which will not be based on separate country alliances but should cover a wide range of territories within a 3–4 thousand kilometer radius.

Svitan believes that Mediterranean, Atlantic, Northern, and Black Sea bases are needed.

"This is the entire spectrum of Europe’s security, and it cannot be divided. In the end, they will come to a common European security system – from the UK to Turkey," Svitan added.

In the expert’s opinion, the optimal solution is to establish the center of such an alliance in Germany, based on its geographical location and economic capabilities.

"Firstly, due to its central European location. Secondly, because of its serious arms market, which it can produce itself. The strongest European economy. Germany can become the consolidating key for all European security," Svitan noted.

He also added that within 3–4 years, Europe could build its internal basic security system, with the participation of the Ukrainian army.

"Europe now has two armies it can rely on – the Ukrainian and Turkish armies," the expert stated.
