Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the next, more detailed agreement with the U.S. regarding mineral resources will require ratification by the Verkhovna Rada. It will regulate the activities of the so-called "Reconstruction Investment Fund."
The Ukrainian President shared this information during a briefing on Wednesday, February 26.
According to him, the next agreement will concern the operation of the Fund and will be "more serious and complex."
"There will already be some partnerships, money, etc. The next agreement will require mandatory ratification in the Ukrainian Parliament, but I don’t know about the U.S. Congress," Zelenskyy stated.
As the President emphasized, before concluding the more detailed agreement on the fund's operation, Ukraine must "sort out the licenses and conduct an audit."
"The next agreements will outline how the partnership can work," he clarified.
