It is impossible to form any plans for achieving peace without Ukraine. It is crucial for the new U.S. administration to receive complete and accurate information as soon as possible about the situation on the battlefield, the mobilization process, and the status of arms and equipment deliveries.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, stated this in an interview with an Associated Press journalist amid Western media speculation about negotiations.

"Direct communication with the new U.S. administration is essential for developing a joint position on achieving a just peace," the head of the Presidential Office said.

According to Yermak, the Ukrainian side is eagerly awaiting the visit of U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, in February to provide comprehensive information on Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

He also said he had a phone conversation with U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, and further contacts with other members of Donald Trump's administration are expected.

"I emphasized that Ukraine must approach negotiations on establishing a just and lasting peace from a position of strength. Security guarantees are also necessary, and this remains a key topic in all discussions with partners. Ukraine must receive strong guarantees to prevent any potential aggression from Russia," Yermak stressed.
