During his visit to Kyiv, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine as a "war." He stressed that India supports and will continue to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, reported this during a broadcast of the "United News" telethon.
"It is very important that Prime Minister Modi emphasized this several times, calling the war a war. He stated that India has a clear position on supporting Ukraine's independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty," Yermak commented on the meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and India.
The Head of the Presidential Office also noted that Narendra Modi assured Volodymyr Zelenskyy that India would never support any "peace plans" to end the war if they involve disrespect for Ukraine's sovereignty or compromises regarding its territorial integrity.
