On the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts, the intensity of attacks by the Russian occupiers increased over the past day. The invaders shelled the positions of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces named after Yakiv Handziuk approximately 250 times.

The enemy also carried out over 150 drone strikes on the positions of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade, according to the brigade officer Serhiy Tsekhotsky during a broadcast on the "Kyiv24" channel.

The Ukrainian defender also mentioned a failed attack by the enemy near the village of Karlivka in Donetsk region (located near Pokrovsk).

"The enemy tried to attack with BMP-2 vehicles in the area of Karlivka. Two BMPs were destroyed along with their crews," the serviceman shared.

It is worth noting that Russia has already suffered enormous losses in equipment and manpower on our land. As of August 23, approximately 605,330 enemy personnel have been eliminated, along with, among other things, 16,599 enemy armored combat vehicles.
