Decisions about mobilization in Ukraine, including age limits, are made solely at the national level and are not influenced by external states or international partners.
This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, as reported by Espreso.
Stefanishyna mentioned that during her visit to Brussels, journalists asked about the mobilization age. She emphasized that this issue was not just a position or statement but a reality that must be clearly understood.
"The reality is tied to the fact that decisions communicated and made by the state and the Commander-in-Chief carry significant responsibility for the lives of every Ukrainian. Therefore, they cannot be dictated by statements from White House officials or anyone else. This is not a position, it is reality," she said.
The Vice Prime Minister stresses that soldiers must be fully equipped. She also points out that statements by White House officials can be perceived as an attempt to shift responsibility for previous agreements, which is why Ukraine is firmly addressing this issue.
