The Russians are conducting active reconnaissance in the Huliaipole direction of Zaporizhia region and are transferring reinforcements here from the occupied Crimea.
Spokesman for the Defense Forces of South of Ukraine Vladyslav Voloshyn reported this on Sunday, December 15, on the air of “24 Kanal”.
According to Voloshyn, the enemy has significantly increased attacks using assault and army aviation in the past day.
“The enemy attacked the city of Huliaipole and nearby settlements, launching dozens of strikes with unguided aerial missiles,” Voloshyn reported.
Additionally, the Russians are actively conducting aerial and engineering reconnaissance of routes, suggesting potential plans to initiate assault operations. They are also engaging in combat reconnaissance to identify the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ firing positions.
“They are preparing, at some point, to conduct assault operations with small infantry groups consisting of up to 5-10 personnel,” Voloshyn emphasized.
Furthermore, the spokesman noted that the enemy is resupplying ammunition and redeploying reinforcements to replenish units that have suffered personnel losses.
