Negotiations on a security agreement with another country have begun

Ukraine has started negotiations with Latvia on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement.
This was announced on the website of the President of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations is led by Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak. The delegation also includes representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and others.
On Thursday, March 14, the negotiations were conducted by Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Ihor Zhovkva.
The parties outlined the content of the agreement, its key elements, and thematic blocks. A schedule for further negotiations was agreed upon.

Currently, 7 security agreements have been signed - with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, and the Netherlands.
"Ukraine's task remains that each such agreement strengthens our state, brings victory closer, and bolster international law and order," the statement reads.
