Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine: initial details
On the night and morning of July 31, the Russian occupiers launched one of the most massive drone attacks on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. The primary target of the aggressor was Kyiv.

Details of the attack were reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
"The enemy attacked with a Kh-59 guided air missile from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region and 89 attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type from the regions of Yeisk, Seshcha, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The main direction of the attack was Kyiv region," the message says.
This is one of the most massive attacks by the "Shahed-131/136" UAVs.
"The same number of "Shaheds" were used by the enemy on New Year's night, January 1, 2024. As it was then, today Ukrainian air defense stood firm and repelled the massive attack by enemy drones. Out of the 89 "Shahed-131/136" attack drones, detected by the radar units of the Air Force, all 89 were shot down. Additionally, a guided Kh-59 air missile that targeted Mykolaiv region was also shot down," the report added.
