Russia powerfully struck Ukraine with "Shaheds": how many drones were shot down

On the night of August 7, the Russian occupiers attacked with "Shahed"-type strike drones. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 30 drones.

This was reported by the Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

The occupiers launched UAVs from the regions of Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Yeysk.

"As a result of the air combat, all enemy UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions," the statement reads.

According to Oleshchuk, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile units and Electronic Warfare of the Air Force were used.
