Russian Invaders “Nationalize” Property in Melitopol, if Owners Cannot Prove their Title – the Mayor
In temporarily controlled areas, the Russians terrorize and rob local population.
In particular, in the temporarily controlled city of Melitopol, the invaders conduct so-called verification of property. Although, if the local residents fail to provide an evidence of a real estate or a vehicle title, their property will be “nationalized”, as Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol, reported.
According to him, the deadline set by the invaders is before the August 1st.
"There is a problem. Now, Ukrainian registers do not work in the temporarily controlled areas. People could have saved their property by transferring a title to their friends or family members in the temporarily controlled areas. Rights now, we are conducting negotiations with the Ministry of Justice in order to help our people”, the Mayor stressed.
Fedorov emphasized that the purpose of the Russian invaders was to rob the people and expropriate their property. That’s the reason why the local government cooperated with the Ministry of Justice in order to help the citizens to save what’s theirs.
