Russian forces have adjusted their assault tactics in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, increasing the size of their assault groups and providing extensive support with FPV drones.

This was told by the chief sergeant of the Air Defense Missile Battery of the "Rubezh" Brigade, Andrii Halka, during an interview on "Espreso".

The soldier said that on December 10, Russian occupiers conducted two assault attacks on Ukrainian positions. Regarding the overall operational situation in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders observed significant changes in the enemy's tactics.

"Previously, Russians attempted to assault in groups of 2-3 servicemen, trying to approach our positions as closely as possible and then concentrating in trenches or shelters. Those we failed to eliminate would gather in these hideouts and later attack in groups of 5-10 directly targeting our positions," Halka explained.

He added that fire support companies, mortars, and FPV teams immediately responded to these enemy maneuvers.

According to the chief sergeant, during each assault, up to five FPV drones cover every Russian soldier.

"They have increased their assault groups to 10 soldiers each. These groups of 10 then split into two teams of five and advance actively. It’s also worth noting that these assault groups are heavily supported by FPV drones. Without exaggeration, their numbers are overwhelming - up to five drones fly to cover each soldier," Halka concluded.
