How many Patriot systems Ukraine needs to make the war pointless for Putin: Zelenskyy reveals

Ukraine needs 10–12 additional Patriot systems. These systems would ensure security for the country and render the war pointless for Putin.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his social media.

The President stresses that air defense systems are the only means capable of guaranteeing safety for peaceful Ukrainians at the moment. This was a key topic in his discussions with U.S. President Joe Biden, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

"Because if our skies are fully protected, they have no advantage. No guided aerial bombs, ballistic missiles or other weapons can hit Ukraine's civilian infrastructure - our energy facilities, hospitals, schools, or universities. One system costs $1.5 billion—take it, please, from frozen Russian assets. $30 billion would cover everything. But this would completely secure our skies," Zelenskyy said.
