"This Is Development of War": Humeniuk Explained Why Russians Cynically Shelled Kherson

The cynical artillery strikes against liberated city of Kherson are not an act of revenge by the Russian army, but a desperate attempt to better serve their dictator. In this way, the invaders also show their hatred towards those who live better than them, as Natalia Humeniuk, the Head of Coordination Headquarters of Press Center of Ukrainian Southern Defence Forces, said during the national TV marathon.

"I don’t think that every artillery strike is the act revenge. This is a development of the war and military actions that the enemy, let's say, "offered us" since February 24, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. I wouldn’t say that they specifically retaliate for our attacks against their control point... They don't value their own comrade so much as to seek revenge. They just hate all those who live better than them," Humeniuk said when asked about Saturday's attack on Kherson.

According to her, in this way the Russian inavders are trying to prove to their dictator that they are capable at least of something of something.
"This is a manifestation of their lack of capacity, because they cannot do what their leader demands of them," Humeniuk stressed.
