Navy Spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk commented on the strikes on Sevastopol, noting that Ukraine does not attack civilian objects or places where the civilian population gathers.

Pletenchuk told about this on the air of the "Radio Svoboda" project.

The Navy Spokesman commented on the explosions in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, stressing that Ukraine does not inflict fire damage on civilian objects. Instead, the Russians consistently neglect the safety of the civilian population.

"We do not attack civilian objects or places where civilians gather. If such an incident occurred, the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly warned that people should avoid to be near military units or military objects in Crimea. If the information is correct and among the dead are people who actually came to Ukrainian Crimea from the so-called Russian Federation, then the question is more about them, than the circumstances under which they were wounded," he commented.

Dmytro Pletenchuk notes that the information about the situation in Sevastopol needs further verification. Meanwhile, the data available in the public domain may rather indicate that it is the Russian occupying forces once again disregarding the safety of the civilian population.
