Ukraine has a plan: Umerov on the chances of winning the war

Ukraine can defeat Russia in the war and has a plan to achieve this goal. However, the Defense Forces need more weapons and the lifting of restrictions on their range of use.

This was stated by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in an interview with Fox News.

"We can win. We have a plan. We publicly say that we need more weapons. Hesitation about transferring weapons to us, hesitation about granting permission and lifting restrictions, takes time. Time is very important," Umerov said.

The minister explained that permission to strike deep into Russia with American weapons would not lead to escalation, as the Kremlin is already escalating this war by striking civilian targets and hospitals, such as the attack on Kyiv's Ohmatdyt on July 8.

"They disregard people and attack hospitals and other civilian targets. We want to protect people. We want to strike only military targets. They are shelling our cities and critical infrastructure, killing people. Therefore, we need more air defense systems and weapons for protection," Umerov explained.
