Russia is preparing a new provocation in the occupied territories of Luhansk region. The occupiers may deliberately strike medical facilities to accuse the Ukrainian side.
This was stated by military expert Dmytro Snehiriov in a comment to "Espreso".
"The analytical department of the public initiative "Prava Sprava" received information that the Russians plan to strike medical facilities in the occupied areas of Luhansk region, particularly in Luhansk and Belhorod region," Sniehiriov reported.
The expert explained that this provocation might be presented as "a retaliatory action by the Ukrainian Defense Forces for Ohmatdyt." Russia plans to accuse Ukraine of "a deliberate strike, intended to cause numerous civilian casualties."
Sniehiriov reminded that the public initiative "Prava Sprava" had previously warned about similar provocations from Russia:
"This happened with the trial of "Azov" fighters, which was supposed to take place in Mariupol, but two days prior, "Prava Sprava" reported about it. The initiative also thwarted a bloody provocation on civilian objects in Luhansk with the tactical missile system "Tochka-U"," the expert recalled.
In the expert's opinion, the main goal of these actions is to divert the international community's attention from the events at Ohmatdyt and try to shift the blame for terrorism to Ukraine.
"And to portray the Ukrainian side as a terrorist country. In other words, to switch the international community's attention from the facts of international terrorism committed by Russia and shift them to the Ukrainian side," Sniehiriov emphasized.
