Kursk region is not part of Ukraine's territorial claims, as the primary goal is the return of Ukrainian territories.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement during the press conference "Ukraine. Year 2025."
"We will not be annexing Kursk region to Ukraine. Our main concern is our own territories," Zelenskyy emphasized.
However, the President noted that in the future, when Ukraine considers the issue of territorial integrity, Kursk region may become a subject of exchange.
He added that, nevertheless, the exchange of territories could be part of the strategy for restoring sovereignty.
"In any case, Kursk region could become an important element of territorial exchange when we achieve our goal regarding territorial integrity," he said.
