The President is ready to share these points with both the current U.S. President and presidential candidates.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had a plan for victory. It consists of several points.
He said this in an interview with Fareed Zakaria for his GPS program on CNN.
"I will discuss with them how to strengthen our position before the Peace Summit so that we can be in a strong position. Diplomatic solutions are effective if you are strong. Otherwise, Putin won’t even participate. If under other circumstances they are not interested in stopping the war, then I have a victory plan, because for us, victory means being very strong and being strong before diplomacy," the Ukrainian President emphasized.
The President notes that the four points of the plan are the main ones, but there is still one that "we need after the war." Zelenskyy says he will share them with US President Joe Biden during the meeting.
"It’s about security. It’s about Ukraine’s geopolitical position. It’s about very strong military support that needs to be available to us. And about our ability to freely decide how to use various resources. It involves decisions on economic support, which I believe will be interesting," the President explained.
Zelenskyy expressed his hope that if Biden evaluates the plan and "if his team can add anything to strengthen our position, we are ready."
He also says that he is willing to share his plan with U.S. presidential candidates, including Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump. According to Zelenskyy, "it will be fair and correct."
"I believe that a lot depends on the decisions of the U.S. Congress. So, sharing the plan with Congress is also important. After these steps, we are ready to share it with the rest," Zelenskyy concluded.
