Zelenskyy said whether a pause in the war is possible

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that there will be no pause in the war initiated by the Kremlin. According to him, if Russia is given a pause, it will only benefit Russia and certainly not Ukraine.

The Head of State said this after talks with President of Estonia, Alar Karis.

According to him, a pause on the battlefield on the territory of Ukraine is not a pause in the war, it does not lead to a political dialogue with the Russian Federation or anyone else. The Ukrainian leader emphasizes that this pause will help Moscow.

"We understand the volumes of what they produce today in terms of drones, artillery per day. We see what they lack. We observe a significant shortage of drones, artillery and missiles. They are making large purchases of drones from Iran, and they are also negotiating for missiles. So far, they have not reached agreements on that, and they have received over a million artillery shells from North Korea. We have also seen examples of some missiles," Zelenskyy explained.

He emphasized that Russian warehouses were empty after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. That's why this pause is not just a frozen conflict; it is simply a pause that will help them.

"They cannot keep up. Yes, you are right - the world also cannot fill Ukraine's warehouses fast enough. But today, the world is helping Ukraine, and Russia is facing shortages. To give them a pause, to take the risk. To give Russia two or three years - they might then overrun us. We would not take such risks, and thank God, all of this is being resolved in Ukraine. Therefore, a pause will definitely not be in favor of Russia," the head of the state emphasized.
