Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, stated that the weapons planned to be provided to Ukraine to counter Russian military aggression have been sent to assist Israel. The conflict in the Middle East is impacting the situation in our war.
He said this during a meeting with Turkish journalists at the Ukrainian embassy in Ankara, Anadolu Agency writes.
"He emphasized that international media has shifted the focus to the war in the Gaza Strip. And now some people believe that the war in Ukraine has ended.
"The international media have drawn attention to this direction, that's why there are those who believe that the war in Ukraine is over," Bodnar said.
The ambassador also believes that one of the factors affecting aid to Ukraine is the internal political situation of Western countries, in particular the upcoming presidential elections in the USA, the positions of the governments of Hungary and Slovakia, and the blocking of Ukrainian trucks by Polish farmers at border checkpoints.
Regarding a possible ceasefire and negotiations with Russia, Bondar emphasized: "We will not discuss any issue with Russia if it does not withdraw its army from the territory of Ukraine."
