Zelenskyy stated that Mariupol was destroyed by 98%

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that children, the elderly and the military remain blocked in Mariupol.

"It looks like a terrorist operation by Russia against Mariupol and the people of this city rather than a war. Everything is destroyed there by 95-98% including all buildings, schools, kindergartens, ordinary residential neighborhoods, factories, the waterfront. This is a seaside town. Everything is ruined in it! " - Zelensky emphasized.

According to the President, the city is constantly under fire, so many people are afraid to even come out of their shelters. At the same time, a number of people moved towards Ukrainian-controlled territory, but some people were forcibly "evacuated" to Russian-controlled territories. Zelensky noted that thousands of people, who went to Russia or to the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine, simply disappeared.

"Children, adults, they have all disappeared. They are now in different cities in special camps on Russian territory, and some of them just disappeared. To date, between 3.5 and 5,000 children are missing. "This is a terrible tragedy," he said.
