Zelenskyy reports new U.S. requests for support in Middle East

Ukrainian teams are already working with five countries on countering «Shahed» drones, and additional requests have come from the U.S. for expert support for their military, Zelenskyy said on Friday, March 20, following a briefing by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.

«We are speaking with partners in detail at all necessary levels. Our teams are already working with five countries on countering „Shaheds“ — providing expert assessments and helping to build defense systems. There are additional requests from other states. There are also requests from the U.S. regarding two directions in the region for expert support for their military, ” the president said.

Zelenskyy added that requests from European partners with forces stationed in the region are also being processed.
