The ambassadors of Germany, France and the United Kingdom met in Moscow with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin to discuss efforts to revive negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow. During the meeting, the Russian diplomat accused European countries of fueling the war through military assistance to Ukraine.
The statement was issued by Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
In a familiar refrain, the deputy foreign minister accused the European ambassadors of pursuing a «destructive policy.» He claimed that Berlin, Paris and London were encouraging Ukraine to continue the war launched by Putin.
Galuzin also told the ambassadors that Russia would seek a «political and diplomatic settlement» aimed at addressing what Moscow describes as the «root causes» of the war.
