Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has held a telephone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported the development, as reported by a local propaganda news agency.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, Lavrov allegedly informed the US side of Russia’s intention to launch «systemic strikes» on targets in Kyiv that Moscow claims are used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
«He conveyed to the American side that the Russian Armed Forces are launching systemic strikes on facilities located in Kyiv that are utilized for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,» the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
The ministry’s report provided no further details regarding the talks.
There has been no official response from the American side at the time of publication.
