Passenger and cargo transport can now cross the state border with Moldova and Romania at multiple checkpoints in the Odesa region.

Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, reported this according to the press service.

He said that by 12:00 on 21 December, passage to the checkpoints via the M-15 «Odesa — Reni» highway, which continues to serve as a main route for international logistics in southern Ukraine, had been restored.

«Our goal is to provide predictable and stable logistics routes despite ongoing security risks. We are gradually reopening connections, staying in constant communication with neighboring countries, and doing everything we can to give carriers clear routes and allow them to plan their activities. The situation remains dynamic, but we are working at full capacity to support logistics, ” Kuleba said.

This specifically refers to the operation of certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan and Ukrainian-Romanian borders within the Odesa region:

«Palanka — Mayaky — Udobne»

«Reni — Giurgiulești»

«Tabaky — Myrne»

«Vynohradivka — Vulcănești»

«Maloyaroslavets — Chadir-Lunga 1»

«Serpneve — Bessarabka»

«Novi Troyany — Chadir-Lunga»

«Starokozache — Tudora»

«Orlivka — Isaccea»

Prior registration in the «eQueue» system is required to cross the border through the listed checkpoints. This requirement applies to both buses and cargo trucks.

The ministry also highlighted to carriers the limited throughput of the highway connecting Odesa to these checkpoints. Drivers and logistics companies are therefore recommended to plan routes ahead and factor in extra travel time.

Current information on checkpoint congestion is available in the «Congestion» section on the official «eQueue» system website.

Moreover, alternative border crossings with Moldova in the Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions remain open for buses and freight vehicles, operating in an enhanced mode.

The government calls on international carriers to follow official updates closely, as border conditions may change. Any new information will be provided as it becomes available.
