The aftermath of the attack
In the early hours of December 8, Russian troops targeted a residential neighborhood in the heart of the city. Latest reports say three people were injured.
Regional police detailed the aftermath of the latest strike.
“An apartment block, a kindergarten, local shops and institutions, and several cars were damaged in the blast. A fire also ignited on the building’s external gas pipeline,” the statement said.
Police set up a mobile station to register claims from residents whose property was damaged.
Officials also stress that Russian drone attacks on the Chernihiv region have not stopped since yesterday: in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, an elderly woman was wounded and multiple homes were hit.
Residential property damage was also recorded in the Chernihiv district.
