Night attack on Odesa region: What was hit and destroyed (photos)

Russian forces struck the Izmail district of Odesa region with “Shahed” kamikaze drones on the night of August 20. There were confirmed hits, damage, and one person injured.

This was reported by Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper, the Izmail District State Administration, and Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

During the night drone attack, infrastructure and industrial facilities in Izmail were damaged, including port facilities. The strikes caused a large-scale fire at a fuel and energy infrastructure site.

Preliminary reports indicate that one man was injured. He is receiving all necessary medical care.

Emergency responders quickly extinguished the fires. A total of 54 rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment were involved. A fire train from Ukrzaliznytsia and the local fire team were also deployed.
