One killed, several seriously injured in Russian attack on Kharkiv

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Synehubov reported that Russia hit Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb, killing a young woman and injuring 10 others.

“An enemy guided bomb struck the Kholodnohirskyi district. We are clarifying the details,” Terekhov wrote.

A 23-year-old woman was killed in the attack. As of 4:50 p.m., the injury toll has risen to 10.

“One person is in extremely serious condition and is undergoing surgery. Doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance,” Synehubov said.

The attack damaged a tram, power lines, more than 15 vehicles, an industrial building and homes near the impact site.

Later, another strike was recorded in Kharkiv's Kholodnohirskyi district.

“Fortunately, the guided bomb failed to detonate. Explosive ordnance specialists are working at the scene,” the mayor said.

Medics, emergency responders and police officers continue to work at the site of the attack.
