Russian forces delivered a blow to the Yofi hummus manufacturing plant in Ukraine. The assault forced the company to temporarily halt product deliveries.
Yofi’s press service announced this on Instagram on October 7. “Recently, a grievous incident befell us. The enemy, against whom our country is waging war, launched a missile strike on our factory,” the Yofi statement declared.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported at the facility. Employees managed to evacuate 20 minutes before the strike. However, production sustained significant damage, compelling the company to suspend deliveries temporarily.
Efforts to restore production are already underway, with Yofi aiming to resume hummus deliveries within a month.
Notably, according to Forbes Ukraine, the Kyiv-based company Yofi dominates the Ukrainian hummus market, holding an estimated 70% share. Its annual output reaches 1,200 tons of product.
