Russian forces are shooting their own soldiers if they fall back during “meat-grinder” assaults on the Zaporizhzhia axis.
This was revealed in a radio intercept by Ukrainian electronic reconnaissance specialists, published on Telegram by serviceman Stanislav Buniatov, call sign “Osman.”
The interception records a conversation between the commander of the 1st company and the commander of the 1st battalion of the 70th motor-rifle regiment, which is fighting against Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia axis.
From the exchange it is clear that the regimental commander, Colonel R. Khabilov, issued an order to shoot their own troops if they retreat during an assault.
“The group cannot move forward, they say — drones are over them and they have wounded,” the company commander reports.
“I don’t care if there are dead or wounded — Khabilov ordered that anyone pulling back must be executed,” the battalion commander said.
He also advised the Russian troops attacking under drone fire to “look for burrows.”
“If they start falling back, tell Gogi to execute them,” the Russian officer concluded.
