If the partner countries send their troops to Ukraine, they will not take part in hostilities.

This opinion was expressed by military expert, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Petro Chernyk on the air of the telethon.

"I believe that there can be no question of any front line until there is an obvious impact. For example, when a missile does not hit the Bundestag or the Champs-Élysées. Until that moment, regular troops will not move to the line of contact," Chernyk says.

He adds that the prospect of sending foreign troops to Ukraine exists. It is possible to organize this not on behalf of NATO partnership, but with individual European countries without tying it to the Alliance.

"Fears regarding Putin are diminishing, and it's great. For example, in June 2022, HIMARS seemed like science fiction, then Patriot systems as well, the tank coalition, and Western aircraft. Everything seemed like science fiction. Now all of this, except for aviation, which will arrive later, is already here. Discussions on this have already begun, so perhaps it will come to a certain point," Chernyk said.

According to the expert's forecast, foreign troops could significantly assist the Ukrainian Defense Forces even without participating in active combat operations.

"This can work on the principle of displacement. We have a huge Belarusian border where our significant forces are stationed. We must keep them there because the enemy is on the other side. And if we send our forces to the front lines, and European troops take their place, such a mechanism is entirely operational. And tales that this is impossible are just tales. This is a working topic, and we hope it will come to that," Chernyk summarized.
