Ukraine and Greece have begun preparations for a bilateral agreement on "security guarantees." During a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that the agreement on cooperation in the field of security would be ready for signing soon.

This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian President.

"We need to document in it [the agreement] the level of cooperation and support achieved for this year, as well as for the next ten years. It is precisely long-term security cooperation that gives the best results," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The Ukrainian leader also noted that this year it is necessary to work as actively as possible, together with Western partners, to introduce new sanctions to reduce Russia's ability to finance aggression.

"The less money Putin has, the fewer people he can kill. He doesn't want any peace, any diplomacy. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to strengthen sanctions against Russia and punish Russian murderers for everything they have done," he said.

President Zelenskyy listed the main directions of international cooperation in countering Russian aggression and thanked Greece for its tangible help.

"It is important to support our defense. It is important to limit the economic potential of Russian terrorists. It is important to support the work of the International Criminal Court and counter Russian disinformation. Every day should bring us closer to a just peace. And I am grateful to Greece, grateful to Prime Minister Mitsotakis for tangible help for the sake of peace," he concluded.
