Attacks on southern Ukraine are not a response to the explosions on the Crimean Bridge

Military-political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko believes that the attack on Odesa and Mykolaiv during the night of July 18 is not a response from Moscow to the explosions on the Crimean Bridge.

On the night of July 18, the Russian army attacked southern Ukraine with drones and missiles

Kovalenko expressed this opinion in a Telegram channel.

The expert refutes the Russian propaganda claims of a supposed response to the bridge explosion. According to Kovalenko, "It is very difficult to agree with this statement as it does not correspond to reality."

"The nighttime terror attack on July 18 was previously prepared, related to the disruption of the 'grain agreement.' Preparing ammunition, setting coordinates - all of this takes time.

If it was a 'response' to the incident on the Crimean Bridge, then why did it affect the cities that participated in the "Grain Deal", but not the capital, Kyiv?" - Kovalenko said.

Kovalenko emphasizes that the Russians need at least a day to "retaliate" for the Crimean bridge, "or even more - to prepare the means of attack and their delivery."

Russia had prepared in advance for the rupture of the 'Grain Deal' - with inherent terror. This, in turn, suggests that Russia was not at all interested in the continuation of the “Grain Deal." When Putin assured Erdogan of his intention to extend the agreement, he deceived him in advance, preparing for the planned terror against Odesa and Mykolaiv," Kovalenko added.
