The Armed Forces spoke about the insidious tactics of the Russians during the night attack

During the night of Tuesday, July 18, the aggressor Russia attacked the south of Ukraine - the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions - using Iranian drones and "Kalibr" missiles. The Russians launched the attack with drones in several waves.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Press Centre for Operational Command “South”, shared this information with "24 Channel."

According to Humeniuk, the Russian army had been preparing for such tactics for a long time. In turn, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were monitoring the intentions of the Russians and were prepared for it.

"The peculiarity of the attack was that they launched several waves of 'Shahed' drones to detect and exhaust the Air Defense System and then strike with missiles. They have been preparing this tactic for a long time. We observed how they were meticulously planning it, and we were prepared for it," noted Humeniuk.

Humeniuk emphasized that the Russian "Kalibr" missiles were specifically targeted at the Odesa region. It is likely that the occupiers tried to strike the port infrastructure of the city.
