As of the Sunday morning, November 19, there were around 2,900 freight vehicles accumulated at the border checkpoints due to the blockade imposed by Polish carriers.

This was reported by Spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during the telethon.

"Truck traffic continues to be blocked by Polish carriers. Eventually, they are allowing several trucks per hour in both directions, both those coming from Poland and those heading into the country," he stated.

As of the morning of November 19, 1,200 vehicles are waiting in the direction of the checkpoints "Yahodyn" and "Krakovets," while another 500 cars are waiting in the direction of "Rava-Ruska."

"Carriers are also attempting to choose alternative routes where they can cross the border relatively faster, which, in turn, adds congestion to the queues.

"For instance, at the border crossing point “Shehyni” on the territory of Poland, there are approximately 1,300 trucks waiting for the opportunity to proceed towards Ukraine, and approximately 400 trucks are waiting in the direction of “Ustyluh” and “Smilnytsia" checkpoints" Demchenko added.
