Current situation in Belgorod region: "Achilles" regiment commander lifts the veil

At the moment, everything related to the advances of the Defense Forces in certain directions should be announced exclusively by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so everything else remains part of the "fog of war," Yuriy Fedorenko noted.

During the Kursk operation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces had the opportunity to thoroughly study the enemy's basing locations and prepare accordingly.

This was stated by Yuriy Fedorenko, Commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment "Achilles," during a broadcast on "Espreso."

"Regarding Belgorod region, it’s important to understand a key aspect — while the Kursk operation was ongoing, the Ukrainian Defense Forces gained opportunities in Kharkiv region to additionally prepare engineering and fortification structures, consolidate their positions, and during this time, thoroughly study the enemy. In particular, this includes the locations where armored and lightly armored vehicles are stored, the presence of personnel, the placement of command posts, drone launch points, and much more that shouldn’t be disclosed to the public just yet," the commander of the "Achilles" unmanned systems regiment said.

According to the military officer, as a result of this work, a system of reactive fire was established, including strike drones, which provides the capability to effectively destroy enemy military targets in Russia’s Belgorod region.

"At the moment, everything concerning the advances of the Defense Forces in certain directions should be announced exclusively by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so everything else is part of the "fog of war." As of today, we can say that in Belgorod region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are effectively destroying legitimate enemy military targets remotely using firepower. It should be noted that regarding Belgorod regio, the enemy may redeploy some of its forces and resources from Kursk region, which will inevitably affect certain sectors of the theater of operations. Kharkiv region is no exception here, so Ukrainian defenders are taking certain measures to act preemptively," Yuriy Fedorenko commented.
