Ukraine will negotiate with Russia, only when the aggressor state responsible for instigation of violent war is ready to end it.

During his interview for German TV channel ZDF, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that biggest change that happened to him after the full-scale Russian invasion is that he was no longer willing to look for balance and bargaining opportunities. The President emphasized that of Ukraine stepped back to bargain away with Russia, it would eventually lose everything.

"I have no doubts that we are going everything right... There should be no doubts, there should be resolute actions, since in this game the time is on the side of our enemy. So what’s the truth here? That truth is that we are on our own land, that it’s our nation, our territory, and it’s very painful to lose people. However, if the step back and bargain away with Russia, we will eventually lose everything”, Zelenskyi explained.

Moreover, the Ukrainian leader noted that the government perfectly knew what it was going.

"We have no doubts. We are ready to engage into negotiations, only when the opposite side is ready to end the war. We have no time for empty talks", Zelenskyi emphasized.
