"It Is Unknown If There Will Be a Winner In This War": Austrian Top Official Made a Shocking Statement Regarding Ukraine
The Head of Austrian Ministry of Defence wants negotiations “at the background”.

Austrian Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner expressed doubt that there will be a winner in the war started by Russia against Ukraine. She believes that it is necessary to find out when it makes sense to start negotiations, as she said in her statement quoted by Liga.net.
Klaudia Tanner said that even after more than 10 months of successful fight against the invaders, the Ukrainian army was "often underestimated by some". However, she did not specify who exactly.
"Ukraine's combat capability was underestimated at the beginning of this war, and today, after more than 10 months, it is still often underestimated by some. However, Moscow has huge reserves of resources and soldiers. Fortunately, Ukraine has made very important progress, but it still has a huge territory to defend," Tanner said.
The Austrian top official supported the negotiations "at the background" and the fact that "attention should increasingly return to diplomacy". According to her, the West, which helps Ukraine, "should work with Kyiv to find out when the limits of this war will be reached".
"Still, there is an opinion among some EU Member States that Ukraine, as a sovereign state, should decide when to start negotiations and what should be the goal of these negotiations. On the other hand, the West, which has been supporting Ukraine with weapons and billions of Euro for months, should work with Kyiv to find out when the limits of this war will be reached and when it makes sense to start negotiations in an appropriate form," she said.
In addition, Tanner touched upon the high energy prices resulting from Putin's war against Ukraine, which, in her words, "people in the West increasingly find burdensome".
