"It Will Be Very Difficult for Us": Zelenskyi About Potential Dangers of Russian Army’s Breakthrough in Donbas
If the Russian troops break through the frontline in the eastern part of Ukraine, they may attempt to regain control over the previously liberated Ukrainian territories.
The riskiest area would the southern part of Ukraine, as Zelenskyi said on Monday, June 6th, during the meeting with Ukrainian journalists.
"If there is a breakthrough in Donbas, it will be very difficult for us, since them (the Russian troops – ed.) may advance forwards, renew their offensive in the south, launch the missile strikes on the central regions, on our strategic enterprises. They may even return to the territories, which had been partially seized in the past”, the President explained.
