50,000–70,000 Russians near Pokrovsk, the enemy deploying new units: Ukrainian serviceman on battles near the city

Pokrovsk.

The Russian military command is transferring units from Kurakhove to the Pokrovsk sector. This section of the front in Donetsk region is a priority. Currently, approximately 50,000–70,000 personnel of the occupying forces are concentrated there.

This was reported by political analyst and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Kyrylo Sazonov on the air of "KYIV24".

"Some units are being redeployed from Kurakhove to the Pokrovsk sector. It is key for them. The enemy’s main strike direction now is the south and southwest of Pokrovsk. There is some minor advance there. In the north and northeast, they have failed. The other two directions where the occupiers are pressing are the northeast - at the fork on the highway from Pokrovsk to Bakhmut - and the direction toward Myrnohrad. The Russians have no chance of reaching this city," he emphasized.

The Russians are diverting some of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' resources by storming positions in the direction of Myrnohrad. The occupying army seeks to stretch Ukrainian forces. However, Ukrainian troops are holding the defense and inflicting colossal losses on the enemy.

Additionally, Sazonov notes that in recent days, "the enemy is beginning to stall" and advances no more than a kilometer per day.

"It makes no sense for the Russians to storm Pokrovsk head-on. Currently, about 50,000–70,000 enemy personnel are concentrated here. When they stormed Avdiivka, there were 110,000–120,000," Sazonov added.
