In the early morning of September 15, the Russian occupiers attempted to attack Ukraine with drones. The Russians launched 17 "Shahed" drones moving towards Khmelnytskyi region.
Spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat told the details of the enemy attack on the air of the telethon.
He confirmed that the occupiers had launched the drones from Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk. All 17 "Shahed" drones were shot down along their route.
"Khmelnytskyi is under attack again. It's clear that the enemy is searching for where our bombers were hidden after the recent events in our sea near Crimea," emphasized Ignat.
The representative of the Ukrainian Air Force does not consider the tactics of this attack, which happened closer to dawn today, to be new. According to Ignat, it's not the first time it has occurred. However, this time the enemy has shifted the timing slightly.
"They usually launch from 22:30 to 22:50. Then several waves continue until 04:00. The morning attack allows mobile fire groups to work better. When it's daylight, the target becomes visually visible," Yuriy Ignat says.
