Night attack on Ukraine: how many drones were successfully destroyed by air defense systems

On the night of Thursday, September 14, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with several groups of "Shahed-136/131" type attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 17 enemy drones.

This information was provided by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As a result of the combat operations last night, 17 out of 22 enemy combat UAVs 'Shahed-136/131' were destroyed by air defense," the statement reads.

The military reported that the Russians launched drones from 21:00 on Wednesday, September 13, to 02:30 on September 14. The drones flew from three directions: Cape Chauda in annexed Crimea, as well as from the Russian cities of Yeisk and Kursk.

The Ukrainian armed forces emphasize that 22 "Shahed" launches were detected in the direction of Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions.
