"Putin May Understand Only Direct Strike": Podoliak Explained How to Force Russia to Withdraw Troops from ZNPP

Russian President Vladimir Putin may not agree to withdrawal of Russian troops from Zaporizhzhia NPP territory and demilitarization of the area around the plan. The only argument good enough for Putin to understand will be a Ukrainian military strike against his army.

However, there are several steps to take in order to prevent nuclear disaster in Russian-controlled Enerhodar, as Mykhailo Podoliak, the Adviser to the Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, said in his interview for “United News” joint informational telethon broadcasted by the leading Ukrainian TV channels.

"Putin may not accept any rules, because Putin has started this war in order to impose the rules of his own. Therefore, it is wrong to assume that Putin may be pressured into making some right decisions, until the Armed Forces of Ukraine tactically defeat the Russian troops in the southern, central and eastern parts of the country, etc. I mean the only argument good enough for Mr. Putin to understand will be a Ukrainian military strike against his army", Podoliak explained.

He also listed four steps to avoid a nuclear disaster at ZNPP.

"The world should realize: if we want to secure ourselves against a potential nuclear disaster in Enerhodar, we should take several steps. The first step is actual demilitarization of the area around ZNPP. The second step is withdrawal of all Russian troops at least 10-15 kilometers away from the plant. If the Russia fails to do the previous two things, the third step is to implement appropriate strict sanctions against Russia’s nuclear industry. The fourth step is that instead of IAEA statements, the UN should expel Russia sanctions from all international organizations in order to deprive it of its influence and the right of veto”, the Adviser to the Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office explained.

He also stressed the importance of expelling Russia from the UN.

"I speak about the UN directly. Russia must lose its permanent seat in the UN Security Council. The UN should finally start adopting resolutions perceived by other countries as real resolutions, not as an attempt to avoid challenging matters”, Podoliak added.
