Russian forces are simulating a withdrawal from Nova Kakhovka in Kherson region and are moving deeper into occupied territory to provoke the desired movements by the Defense Forces.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Press Centre for Operational Command “South”, told Channel 24 about this.

She reminded that they applied a similar tactic in Oleshky, Kherson region, and then suddenly returned there.

"These are the steps of a hybrid war. They are trying to redirect the Defense Forces to those directions that they consider more reliable and more fortified, in order to carry out their operations there. However, we are well familiar with these tricks and the maneuvers that the occupies resort to," she said.

Humeniuk explained that the enemy is looking for tactics that will work, so they resorted to the old method again.

"This is connected with the intensification of shelling in the Pochayivka direction to divert our counter-battery actions there, the escalation of shelling directly in Kherson as a regional center and a gathering place for people, and other populated areas where our enemies are trying to selectively indicate the need for the presence of Defense Forces," noted Humeniuk.
