Ukrainian civilians are often blown up by landmines. Thus, Russia is not waging a war, but committing terrible terrorism.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with media representatives from Latin America, the Office of the President reported.

Russia doesn't want the war to end. As noted by the Ukrainian leader, one of the consequences of this war is that nearly 200,000 square kilometers of land in Ukraine are mined. The area of Uruguay, for example, is almost the same.

"This isn't war; this is terrorism. Russia came in and planted mines. Our children are playing, and they're losing their limbs. Farmers cannot cultivate their land," the President said.

Among the other consequences of the blowing up is the Kakhovka dam. Currently, five regions of Ukraine are facing drought.

"We don't have water for people. Not just for farmers; it's now a social explosion – there's no drinking water. And there's approximately the same amount of territory without drinking water. That's the situation – two countries like Uruguay, one with people living without water, and the other mined, where people are constantly being blown up, unable to work or move," remarked Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Such are the consequences of Russian aggression. Zelenskyy once again emphasized that this is not a conflict and not just a war - it is a terrible terror.

"They (the Russians - ed.) clearly know that it will take decades to demine such a territory. Does Russia want the war to end - that's the answer," concluded the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine.
