The situation at the front in Ukraine is currently very difficult. Ukraine went on the defensive to exhaust Russia's military potential.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, told about this in an interview for ZDF.

"The situation at the moment can be assessed as difficult. The enemy is advancing practically along the entire front line, and we have transitioned from offensive actions to conducting a defensive operation. The goal of our defensive operation is to exhaust the enemy's forces, inflict maximum losses on them, using our fortifications, our advantages in terms of technology, the use of drones, electronic warfare means, and maintaining prepared defense lines," he said.
