Two Reuters journalists were hospitalized, and one is considered missing following the Russian strike on the hotel in Kramatorsk.
The report states that a team of six people was staying at the hotel.
"One of our colleagues is missing, and two others have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment," the agency stated.
Details of the strike on the hotel
Russian forces struck Kramatorsk at night. According to the regional military administration, the target in the city was a hotel. In addition to the hotel, a high-rise building nearby was also damaged.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that Russia used an "Iskander-M" missile for the strike on Kramatorsk.
The department specified that foreign journalists aged 38 and 40 were injured in the hotel that was hit by the invaders. The wounded have a mine-explosive injury, a contusion of the brain, a broken leg, a contusion and cuts on the body. Another of their colleagues is probably under the rubble.
Reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the world to condemn the Russian strike on the hotel in Kramatorsk, where foreign journalists were staying.
"Last night, another horrific and deliberate Russian strike hit the residential quarters of Kramatorsk, injuring foreign media journalists in a hotel," the spokesman of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tykhyi, wrote on the social network X.
According to Tykhyi, "targeted strikes on the mass media have become a systematic tactic of Russia's war."
"These barbaric war crimes must be condemned and punished," said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Russian authorities deny that their army targets civilian infrastructure in cities and villages of Ukraine during the full-scale war, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy facilities and water supply systems.
