The Russian occupiers damaged an ammonia pipeline in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region.

This was reported by Oleh Synegubov, the Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. As a result of the enemy strikes, the pipeline was depressurized. The Headquarters for liquidation of the consequences of the situation has been deployed in the region. All specialized services work on site.

"We will inform you about all the details later," assured the Head of the Regional Military Administration.

Synehubov added that current measurements in Kupiansk show no presence of ammonia in the air.

According to preliminary reports from experts working on-site, there is no threat of hazardous substances spreading in the Kupiansk community.

"Measurements are ongoing in the settlements of Kucherivtsi, Synkivtsi, Petropavlivtsi, which are closer to the border with the Russian Federation. We continue to monitor the level of pollution. We ask you to remain calm and follow official reports. The situation is under control," assured the head of the Regional Military Administration.

Obviously, it appears to be referring to the ammonia pipeline Tolyatti-Odessa, which, according to open sources, ceased operations on the day of Russia's full-scale invasion, February 24, 2022.

Earlier, the UN offered to resume the operation of the Tolyatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline in exchange for Russia's unblocking of the "grain agreement".

It should be noted that ammonia is a colorless gas that can irritate the eyes and respiratory tract. It can cause tearing, coughing, sore throat, and difficulty breathing.
